Tim and Tom where born on May 28th 1995 in Lincoln.

Born into a farming family they both grew up as typical farmer’s lads and assumed they would carry on as the fifth generation to work in the family business.

Their first experience of motorsport came at 9 years old when their grandfather bought the twins a 50cc quad bike. After thrashing the little quad to death, they didn’t ride again until the age of 13 when they were bought a Chinese 110cc field bike; cheap and cheerful and prone to breaking.

Living in a small rural village, opportunities seemed to be scarce at the young age; however this soon changed when Pete Boast (ex professional racer and founder of the UK Flat Track series) moved into the village.
Tim and Tom first got to know Pete when they took their broken field bike to his house to see if he could fix it, after a small repair the lads went back out to ride and Pete joined them on his own minibike for a blast around the fields. Riding in the fields together soon became a regular occurrence.

Pete first approached Tim and suggested he had a go at some flat track racing after seeing some potential in the boys. It was at the start of the 2010 season that Tim got his first taste of racing aged 14. With the opportunity only been available to Tim at the time, Tom was naturally very jealous! The following year, Tom started Flat Track, entering the intermediate junior championship and Tim moved up into the 450cc Pro class.

The tables turned in 2013 when Tom got the opportunity to go road racing aged 17. A 650 twin cylinder bike was provided by WK Bikes and with the support of local racer Phil Crowe, Tom competed in the Thundersport GB Minitwin series. At the time, Tim’s ambitions were all set on travelling to America to race in the AMA Pro Flat Track series, but as things developed he decided he would make his road racing debut the following year on the WK minitwin and Tom would progress onto a supertwin machine.

Tim and Tom continued to race in the UK Flat Track Championship until the end of the 2015 season, by which time their road racing commitments had to take priority.
